Lilly Platt (9 years old) started striking 3 weeks after the famous climate striker Greta Thunberg. For a whole year she stood in front of the town hall every day from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. in Zeist to draw attention for the climate. Now she is there every 1st Friday of the month. On Friday, November 1st, she met indigenous leaders from Brazil, who are on a European tour to draw attention to human rights violations and deforestation.
It’s only when something is gone that we realise how much we miss it. On the quayside of our ship the Rainbow Warrior, the letters Iamazonia are being placed in solidarity with the Amazon rainforest and the people calling it home. We cannot afford to lose the Amazon, which is crucial to keep the world's climate stable.
